New Zealand Update IV
This is really quick because I am in a library in Auckland in between doing other things. Yesterday, I came into Auckland with my cousin, did some homework at his office, saw One Tree Hill, had dinner, and stayed with some friends of his overnight.
One of the awesome things about New Zealand is the lack of formality everywhere. People are super hospitable, but they are also not going to go out...

New Zealand Update III
Yesterday I:
Hiked to Cathedral Cove.
Swam in the ocean. It was freezing, because I was on the open water side of the island, not in the bay where my cousins live.
Went to Hot Water Beach.
Had a picnic.
Visited the square Kauri. (It’s a type of tree native to New Zealand.)
Ate delicious food.
Got super sunburned. (Apparently there is a hole in the ozone layer down here.)

New Zealand Update II
Today I:
Went on a train thing to the top of a mountain and took a ton of pictures.
Had a really amazing lunch in some town I can’t remember the name of.
Drove down a whole bunch of coastline.

New Zealand Update I
I wanted to keep kind of a diary of what I am doing while on my trip, and since I know that I have friends reading this who I can’t talk to in person on the phone, and who are interested to see what I am doing here, I figured this is as good as any place to keep such a diary.
Today I:
Landed in Auckland.
Drove (rode) to Te Mata (A super small town near Thames).
Told everyone that it is...

I definitely think that the little things in life cause me both the most stress and the most happiness. And I am at the point where, if one more small-to-medium sized problem crops up in my life, I will a) punch someone or b) require institutionalization. Or both.

– Jennifer Knapp, “Prelude (Faithful to Me)”
I have just been singing this over and over, because it is so relevant to my life right now. I am so thankful that God continues to be faithful to me even when I am unfaithful to him, and to myself.
I am also thankful that Jennifer Knapp...

Yet Another Blog Brought to You by Amanda Mae →
I hesitate to even post this, because I am notorious for starting blogs and bailing on them six months in. But I started a new blog that is just random things I want to do or accomplish. And I have infinite material since I pretty much want to do everything ever.
PS I have like a bajillion post queued, so I’m guaranteed not to fail for at least 3 or 4 days.

Robert Reich: The Republican Myth of Obama's... →
Let’s all take a moment to talk about how smart Robert Reich is. I love him almost as much as I love Bill Clinton.
robertreich:
One of the few things Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich agree on is that President Obama is turning America into “European-style welfare culture.”
In his standard stump speech Romney charges Obama with creating a nation of dependents. “Over the past three years...
