My name is Amanda Mae Arnold.
Actually, it’s not my real name. I’ve had it for seven years or so, and it’s what a lot of people call me. I also accept just Amanda.
I’m 21. I’m a full-time graphic design student. I work part-time at a hotel, running the front desk and doing local sales and marketing. I also have a small photography business. It’s mostly just a money pit, but I love it. I enjoy photography, painting, drawing, and design, and I’d love to be able to pursue fine art, graphic design, and photography full time eventually.
I’ve lived in a small town my whole life, but I have much bigger dreams. I live on the side of a mountain in the middle of nowhere, and it’s a wonderful place to be. I ache to travel, but I love my life here as well.
I believe that God loves me and cherishes exactly who I am, right now. Even when I doubt myself, my abilities, and my faith, He continues to tirelessly pursue me, and I am so grateful for his boundless compassion.
When I have a break from working, school, and sleeping, I enjoy playing guitar, singing, and writing, and I make amazing spaghetti.
One time a really cool old lady told me that “[I] just grab life by the horns, don’t [I]?” I hope that I am living up to that high compliment, and embracing the beauty and joy and craziness that life throws at me.
